Mapping Sant Pau (5 weekend plans)

The light show “The light of Sant Pau” is, once again, the undisputed champion of Christmas in the Modernist space. An allegory of the winter solstice and a tribute to the architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner. A symphony of light, color and music to get everyone in the Christmas spirit.

Palo Alternative Christmas Market (5 weekend plans)

This market Encourages the consumption of local products and support of small businesses instead of large superstores. During this weekend you can find nice presents for the last christmas day in Spain (los reyes magos). As always there will be beautiful projects from local designers and craftsmen. There is also live music from popular local bands.

Fleadonia

One of the most famous Street markets in the city, located in el Raval, is back on the 5th of January. There you can find a lot of vintage clothes, decorations for your home, and nice accessories for the Winter season! Don’t miss it.

Lego exposition

A huge collection of lego models located in Arenas, the superstore in Plaza España, on exhibition in cupula (top floor under a large dome). Next to two other exhibitions.
In this expansive exhibition you can see a small scale reproduction of the Titanic, the Batmobile, and others!

Cabalgata de reyes (5 weekend plans)

One of the most anticipated moments in the Spanish Christmas tradition is ‘La cabalgata de los reyes’. A re-enactment of the three kings bringing their gifts to baby Jesus, except in this instance, they throw presents and candies to the crowd.
Our Majesties, the Kings, will arrive at the port of Barcelona onboard the Santa Eulàlia boat. Here is where the reception ceremony of the Kings will be held and the key of the city will be given to them so that Their Majesties can enter all the homes of Barcelona on the magical night of January 5th to leave their gifts.
When and Where
The 2020 parade begins on January 5th, at 6:00 p.m. on Av. Marquès de l’Argentera. The Kings and their entourage will pass through Pla de Palau, p. Isabel II, Vía Laietana, pl. Urquinaona, Fontanella, pl. Catalunya, Pelai, pl. University, rda. Sant Antoni, Sepúlveda, av. Parallel, av. Queen Maria Cristina and av. Francesc Ferrer and Guàrdia.
