Lost in Reflections: Paradox Museum Barcelona

Quim 21 July, 2023 3 minutes read

Hey there, fellow adventurers! Today, I’m here to spill the beans on one of Barcelona’s best-kept secrets: the mind-boggling Paradox Museum. Prepare to have your senses warped, your perspectives shattered, and your mind blown!

What is the Paradox Museum?

The Paradox Museum in Barcelona is a unique museum that showcases a collection of mind-boggling paradoxes from different disciplines. The goal of the museum is to challenge thinking and stimulate curiosity.

By presenting paradoxes in an interactive and engaging way, the museum inspires visitors to think critically, question assumptions, and explore different perspectives. But the Paradox Museum isn’t just about mind-bending concepts and head-scratching riddles. It’s also a place to have fun and explore.

If you’re looking for a fun and educational way to challenge your mind, then the Paradox Museum is the perfect place for you. With its unique collection of paradoxes and its interactive exhibits, the museum is sure to leave you thinking long after you’ve left.

What to expect

The museum is not just a mirror of illusions; the impressive thing is the way the change of optics guides you to other scenarios. Taking pictures and rotating them give you a totally different perception of reality. The funniest part of the experience is once you start taking pictures with your friends and family: jumping, changing positions, etc.

Imagine standing in one corner, feeling like a giant overlooking a miniature world, only to take a few steps to the right and find yourself shrunk to the size of a mouse, surrounded by a gargantuan universe. It was a surreal experience, to say the least, and one that left an indelible imprint on my mind.

How long is the Visit?

We didn’t have a time limit to be inside the museum but we spend about an hour and a half taking pictures and trying all the attractions. To avoid congestions you might find yourselve waiting for 5 minutes in the entrance. It’s a measure that you’ll thank later.

How to get to the Paradox Museum Barcelona

Now, let’s make sure you can find your way to this maze of illusions. Luckily, the Paradox Museum’s prime location makes it easily accessible. If you find yourself in Plaça Catalunya, the vibrant hub of Barcelona, take a leisurely stroll towards Pl. d’Urquinaona. The museum is conveniently situated at number 3, making it impossible to miss once you’re in the area.

If you prefer public transportation, you’re in luck! Plaça Catalunya is well-connected, serving as a central hub for buses, metro lines, and even regional trains. Simply hop on the L1 or L3 metro lines and alight at the Urquinaona station, a stone’s throw away from the museum. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can always explore the surrounding area on foot. Barcelona’s streets are a treasure trove of surprises, after all.

Tickets and Offers Paradox Museum

The prices are accessible for the whole family and friends, and if you are lucky you might find a special offer on their official website. So be sure to don’t miss the opportunity.

So, fellow explorers, mark my words: a trip to the Paradox Museum is an experience you won’t want to miss. Prepare to have your mind twisted, your perceptions shattered, and your sense of reality turned upside down.

Until next time!
