If you want to experience Sant Jordi before spring comes back, we have the ‘Sant Jordi Winter Session’. The Old Estrella Damm Factory celebrates its sixth edition of the winter Sant Jordi event in which the main factory is converted into a cultural center, full of books, writers and readers, music and culture activities!
As we know, in winter we like to stay at home, relaxed drinking a cup of coffee/chocolate/wine and enjoy the cold weather with a good book. So that’s the reason why I’ve been thinking on what to offer during the next few days! Anyway, don’t forget to pick up your umbrella because sometimes it rains during the events.
Sant Jordi Winter Session
Years ago, this event was just a single day, however this year it will be two days: November 30 (all day) and December 1 (from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.). Around 100 readers and writers will meet to sign books and discuss and chat about literature.
There will also be literary workshops, magic and concerts with guests such as slammer Salva Soler and the music of Guillermo Ramisa or La Folie.
Also, on December 1: another one of the most important literary events of the year will take place.
‘The beat literature festival’ – Sant Jordi Winter Session
In the cultural center Sant Pere Apòstol (Carrer de Sant Pere Més Alt, 25 Gothic Quarter) there will be twelve uninterrupted hours (from 12:00 to 00:00 h.) of literature, art workshops, whiskey, beat poetry slams, debates, conferences, live music and much more. With the organization of the best beat bookseller: Ángel Tijerín and his library On The Road (C/ Verdaguer i Callís, 14).
